Honor will launch the Honor Magic 9 series in Hong Kong on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the first stop of the phone line’s international rollout. Honor global chief marketing officer Guan Haitao announced the date on November 2. Hong Kong prices and availability for the Magic9 Pro Max will be confirmed at the event.
Honor’s Hong Kong accounts have already started teasing the launch. Director and actor Stephen Fung and art director Man Lim-chung are part of the campaign, which leans on the phone’s film-style camera features, CNMO reported.
How the Honor Magic 9 Series Is Selling in China
The series went on sale in China on September 28 in three models: Magic9, Magic9 Super Edition and Magic9 Pro Max. Prices start at 4,499 yuan, about $630, for the Super Edition, 4,999 yuan for the Magic9 and 6,499 yuan for the Pro Max.
Honor CEO Li Jian said the line was the best-selling Android flagship series in China for four weeks in a row through week 43 (October 19 to 25). Honor also says the Magic9 Pro Max led sales of Android phones priced above 7,000 yuan in the early Singles’ Day shopping period. Both claims come from Honor itself and have not been confirmed by an independent market tracker.
Magic9 Pro Max Specs at a Glance
The Pro Max is the model Honor is putting front and center for the global launch. Its headline feature is a camera system built with cinema equipment maker ARRI, which Honor first previewed at the Venice Film Festival. According to Honor’s official launch announcement, the key specs are:
- 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, f/1.57 aperture and OIS
- 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.6 aperture
- CIPA 8.0 stabilization on both 200MP cameras, plus a 50MP ultrawide
- Honor’s own H1 imaging chip, built on a 6nm process
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip and a 6.8-inch display
- 8,800mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging
The phone also supports ARRI LogC3 recording, 14 preset ARRI Looks and up to 4K 60fps video in its ARRI CINEMA mode. Qualcomm’s newest flagship chip, which also powers several rival phones, is covered in our Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 report.
When Will the Magic 9 Reach Europe?
Hong Kong is only the first step. Honor said at the China launch that rollouts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Southeast Asia and other markets would be announced later. The company has already confirmed a January launch in Europe, including the UK and France, but it has not shared European prices yet.
For buyers outside China, the November 4 event should give the first look at international pricing. That will show how the Magic9 Pro Max stacks up against flagships from Apple, Samsung and other Chinese brands heading into the holiday season.
