The global HyperOS 4 rollout is underway: Xiaomi has published a three-wave schedule that brings the update to 82 Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones and tablets sold outside mainland China, starting in early November 2026 and running through December. The Xiaomi 17 series, Redmi Note 15 family, POCO F8 and X8 Pro models and Xiaomi Pad 8 tablets are first in line.
The dates are start windows, not install dates. On its official HyperOS 4 global page, Xiaomi says the schedule is an estimate that can shift by region, carrier, model and development progress, and that the order of models within each wave does not reflect the actual release order.
HyperOS 4 Rollout Wave 1: Early November 2026
The first wave covers 26 devices, led by Xiaomi’s newest flagships:
- Xiaomi: Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi, Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 17T

The second wave adds 23 devices, including last year’s flagships and the Redmi Note 17 lineup:

One detail is worth knowing. The schedule graphic that circulated on X on November 3 placed the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15, the four Redmi Note 17 models and the POCO X8 in the early November group, and several outlets reported it that way. Xiaomi’s global website now lists those devices in mid-November, so owners should expect the later window.

The last wave is the largest, with 33 devices, and it reaches back to the Xiaomi 13 series from 2022:
- Xiaomi: Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 14T Pro, Xiaomi 14T, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 13T

Is My Phone Missing From the List?
Models that do not appear on the global schedule include the Redmi Note 13 series, Xiaomi 13 Lite, the standard POCO X6 and the POCO F5. Xiaomi has not said these phones are excluded for good, but the page notes that the exact list of supported models will come in its official announcement. Brand new phones such as the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, which already has European pricing, ship with the new software instead.
China got the update earlier. Xiaomi began its domestic stable release in October, as we covered when it announced the Chinese HyperOS 4 schedule.
Before that, the company opened a global beta for a few flagships in September.
What HyperOS 4 Brings
The headline change is a “soft light glass” design with translucent layers, interactive light effects, stacked notifications, resizable home screen folders and widget stacking. Xiaomi says some effects depend on hardware, and lock screen styling and widget stacking are limited to select models. On the performance side, Xiaomi’s lab tests on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra show the hot launch time for 30 apps dropping from 40.3 seconds on HyperOS 3 to 36.8 seconds, an 8.7% gain. New AI tools such as AI Voice Notes, AI Translate Conversation and AI Gallery Search are limited to certain models, languages and regions.
The Android version underneath varies. According to Android Authority, HyperOS 4 is built on Android 17 or Android 16 depending on the device, and some phones already received Android 17 with HyperOS 3.

If your device is in a current wave, the update arrives over the air in stages. You can check manually under Settings, About phone, but not everyone with the same model will get it on the same day.
