Intel introduced the Panther Lake series!

Intel announced its next-generation mobile processor series, Panther Lake, at Computex 2025. The company says that this chipset combines the power efficiency of Lunar Lake with the performance of the Arrow Lake-H series. Panther Lake is planned to start production in the second half of 2025, with consumer availability in early 2026.

Intel announces Panther Lake series

Panther Lake will be Intel’s first consumer-focused processor developed using the 18A manufacturing process. This process includes innovations such as RibbonFET transistors and PowerVia back power delivery. These technologies provide higher performance and lower power consumption.

The new processors offer a structure that includes Cougar Cove performance cores and Darkmont efficiency cores. Configurations range from designs with just four P-cores to options with four P-cores, eight E-cores, and four low-power E-cores.

On the graphics side, Panther Lake has an integrated graphics unit developed with the Xe3 Celestial architecture. This system offers a significant performance increase over the previous generation Xe2 architecture. High-end models support up to 12 Xe3 cores.

Panther Lake also includes modern connectivity options such as LPDDR5X and DDR5 memory support, PCIe 5.0 and Thunderbolt 5. These features will meet the needs for high bandwidth and fast data transfer.

Intel is abandoning the integrated memory design used in Lunar Lake with its Panther Lake processors and returning to traditional memory modules. This change will allow users to upgrade and replace their memory.
