Turkish General Command of Gendarmerie introduces JEMUS!

JEMUS, the Gendarmerie General Command’s innovative and modern approach to duty, is Turkey’s first and largest public security communication system.

This system enables effective communication and information sharing among security forces, facilitating the maintenance of public order and faster and more coordinated action against crime. The main idea behind JEMUS is to maximize the benefits of technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security services. Here are the details…

Everything about JEMUS!

The development and implementation of JEMUS, designed by the Gendarmerie General Command, were shaped according to the needs of the security forces. The system was launched to modernize the communication infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted information flow among security units. Moreover, as it is a project developed with national capabilities, it encourages the use of domestic and national technologies.

So what are the areas of use? JEMUS is designed as a multi-layered system, including various modules for both field operations and strategic planning. The system features voice and video communication, emergency management, location tracking, data analysis, and sharing capabilities. With these features, Gendarmerie units will be able to respond to incidents more quickly and develop more effective strategies to prevent crimes.

In addition, it will play a significant role in coordinating different security units. For example, in the event of a natural disaster, rapid information exchange via JEMUS will enable more effective search and rescue operations.

Similarly, it will offer new technological capabilities in border security, counter-terrorism, and law enforcement operations. Therefore, the Gendarmerie Integrated Communication and Information System (JEMUS) is of critical importance for strengthening Turkey’s security infrastructure with modern technologies.
