Tarkov Zombies could become its own game. Nikita Buyanov, head of Escape from Tarkov developer Battlestate Games, asked his followers on October 30 whether the studio should turn its zombie content into a separate co-op title. It is a poll, not an announcement, and Battlestate has not confirmed any project.
The question was short and direct:

By November 1 the post had passed 350,000 views, more than 8,400 likes and nearly 1,500 replies.
Where the Tarkov Zombies Idea Comes From
The timing is not random. The poll landed in the middle of Tarkov’s annual Halloween event, which once again fills locations such as Labs and Factory with infected enemies and adds a long questline with rewards and achievements. Players have treated these zombie weeks as a fun break from the usual tension of the hardcore extraction shooter, a genre that newer rivals have been quietly reshaping over the past year.
A standalone version would presumably take those hordes out of the main game and build a cooperative survival mode around them, closer to what Call of Duty Zombies offers than to Tarkov’s player-versus-player raids. Buyanov did not share any details on scope, platforms or timing.
How Players Reacted
According to Insider Gaming, most replies were positive, with many fans saying they would buy a dedicated co-op zombie game. Others were more cautious and argued that the studio already has plenty on its plate.
That concern has some weight. Battlestate is currently juggling the main game’s PvP and PvE modes, seasonal content, the spin-off Escape from Tarkov: Arena and further DLC. Some players suggested adding a permanent zombie mode to the existing game instead of splitting it off, a point also raised in coverage by Savestate.
What Happens Next
For now, Tarkov Zombies exists only as a question on social media and a seasonal event. A strong response could push the idea forward, but nothing is in development as far as the public record shows.
