WhatsApp is getting email verification feature

WhatsApp, with its billions of users, continues to be equipped with new features. The latest and quite significant addition that has emerged is email verification. Here are the details!

Email login is becoming possible on WhatsApp!

As it is known, the only method to log into WhatsApp is to verify with a phone number. However, this means that users won’t be able to access the verification code if they cannot access their phones, which can be inconvenient at times. But this is about to change.

The WABetaInfo team has revealed that the latest beta update for WhatsApp (Android version 2.23.16.15) is working on the email verification feature. According to the reports, users will now be able to log into their accounts using the verification code sent to their email address, alongside the phone number. This will also apply when attempting to log in from another device.

According to the shared information, the option for email verification will make it easier to back up chats. On the other hand, you may be wondering if you can create a WhatsApp account with an email address. Unfortunately, the answer to that question remains uncertain for now.

Regarding what else can be done with the email verification option on WhatsApp, there are currently no more details available. Furthermore, it is unknown when it will be rolled out. In this context, it seems we will need to wait a little longer.

In addition to all this, WhatsApp is also working on enhancing user security. In this context, the application will soon offer an option for IP masking. This will ensure secure processing of users’ IP addresses on WhatsApp servers while making calls.
