Will Google Stadia shut down?

Gamers have been divided between consoles and computers for a long time. But now there is a third option. Thanks to cloud game services, it is possible to play AAA quality games easily on all devices. So, will Google Stadia shut down?

Google says Stadia won’t shut down!

A new leak has emerged recently. It was said here that Stadia will be shutting down this year. But Google says Stadia won’t shut down. On the contrary, it is stated that hundreds of new games will come. So where did this rumor come from?

It’s clear that Stadia won’t shut down, but we’re going to see some radical changes. The biggest reason behind this decision is that it did not receive the expected attention from gamers. Unfortunately, the excitement it caused when it was first announced is gone.

Stadia’s statement on a Twitter user’s question:

“Stadia is not shutting down. Rest assured we’re always working on bringing more great games to the platform and Stadia Pro. Let us know if you have other questions. No worries. Have a good one!”

After 3 years, the company could not reach the expected number of subscribers. Of course, the presence of strong competing platforms such as NVIDIA GeForce Now and Microsoft Xbox Project xCloud also made things difficult for Google.

Of course, as we saw in the statement made by Stadia, Google has no intention of closing this platform. Instead, it can wait for the market to grow a little more and make a 2nd entry. We can see this with hundreds of new game announcements that will come before the end of this year.
