After the monthly update, known as “Patch Tuesday,” which started rolling out on March 11, it was discovered that Copilot had disappeared from the taskbar and was completely removed. This situation was met with great surprise in the technology sector.

Microsoft management stated that they were aware of this issue that occurred after the Windows 11 update, and announced that affected users can reinstall the app from the Microsoft Store and manually pin it to the taskbar. The company also announced that they are working on a fix to fix the bug. However, it is not yet clear when this fix will be released.

Microsoft launched the Copilot web app about a year ago and started distributing a new version equipped with a more advanced user interface. The updated artificial intelligence app aims to offer an experience similar to Cortana in Windows 10 with its push-to-talk feature.
