8BitDo Ultimate 2C now available in Transparent Black Edition

8BitDo has added a new visual twist to its budget-friendly wireless controller. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C is now available in a Transparent Black Edition, keeping all the fan-favorite features and adding a sharp new look without raising the price.

8BitDo Ultimate 2C gets a design refresh

The Transparent Black Edition features a see-through faceplate over a black shell, revealing the controller’s internal layout. Green highlights on the ABXY buttons and joysticks give it some contrast while staying subtle. Compared to earlier releases like the Brownie and Blueberry versions, this one leans more modern and technical.

Even so, the new look doesn’t change how the controller feels or functions everything under the hood remains untouched.

Hall-effect tech returns for smooth control

As with previous models, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C uses Hall-effect joysticks and triggers. That means less drift over time and better long-term accuracy. For gamers frustrated with stick issues, this controller offers a solid upgrade especially for the price.

Here’s what the Transparent Black Edition includes:

• Hall-effect sticks and triggers
• Turbo mode for faster inputs
• 1,000 Hz polling rate
• Extra L4 and R4 shoulder buttons
• Wired (USB-C) and wireless (Bluetooth, 2.4G dongle) support
• Compatibility with Windows and Android

Same price, better style

Despite the transparent design, the controller holds its $29.99 price tag. That keeps the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C in top position for affordable, feature-rich gamepads. You can preorder it now through Amazon or 8BitDo’s store.

A smart refresh for 8BitDo Ultimate 2C

This version doesn’t aim to reinvent anything it just sharpens what already worked. With anti-drift sticks, fast response, and clean aesthetics, it continues to prove that great controllers don’t need to break the bank.
