Revolut Valuation Hits $115B as Fintech Readies a US Bank Launch

The Revolut valuation now stands at $115 billion after the British fintech confirmed on Wednesday, November 4, that its investors completed a secondary share sale. The price is 53% above the $75 billion mark set in a similar sale a year ago and makes Revolut Europe’s most valuable private tech company.

Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price Associates and Baillie Gifford led the deal, with existing and new investors taking part. Because it was a secondary sale, Revolut raised no new money: employees and early shareholders sold part of their stock instead. The company declined to say how many shares changed hands, TechCrunch reports.

How the Revolut Valuation Got to $115 Billion

The new figure is not a surprise. The Wall Street Journal reported in July that Revolut had opened the sale at $2,017 per share, a price that pointed to the same $115 billion. Revolut was valued at $45 billion in 2024, so its private price has more than doubled in about two years.

The numbers behind it have grown fast too. Revolut says 2025 revenue rose 46% to $6 billion, while pre-tax profit climbed 57% to about $2.3 billion. It now has more than 80 million retail customers in over 40 countries.

CEO Nik Storonsky said employee ownership has been “central to our culture from day one,” adding that staff were once again given “the chance to share in the value they’ve created” as the company works toward 100 million customers. CFO Victor Stinga said investor confidence reflects “Revolut’s unique opportunity to build the first truly global bank,” according to Tech.eu.

A US Bank Is Next

The sale lands as Revolut pushes beyond Europe. This year it launched banks in the UK, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, secured licenses in France, Colombia and Argentina, and started services in India. It also has conditional approval from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a national bank charter, which it plans to open in the first half of 2027 if final approval comes through.

Revolut is also leaning on AI internally. Its engineers recently cut their AI coding bill by about 90% by moving to open-weight GLM models running on the company’s own hardware.

What It Means: Bigger Than Barclays, but No IPO Yet

At $115 billion, Revolut is worth more on paper than Barclays and Societe Generale, Reuters notes, even though its profit is still a fraction of Barclays’ roughly £9 billion. Revenue per customer and lending also remain small next to traditional banks.

A public listing is still at least a year away. Storonsky has said he prefers a primary US listing, and a float is not expected before 2028. Until then, secondary sales like this one remain the main way for staff to cash out, much as huge private rounds such as fal’s latest raise keep top startups private for longer. The same money is reshaping venture firms themselves, with Sequoia closing its London office while raising about $10 billion.
