Samsung is gearing up to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series on January 22. As the launch of the new products approaches, early details about the Galaxy S26 family, set to debut in 2026, have started to emerge.
Galaxy S26 Ultra Could Feature a 200 MP Periscope Camera
According to reliable industry sources like Digital Chat Station, Samsung is reportedly working on a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor size. This camera is expected to potentially debut in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Industry predictions suggest that 200 MP telephoto cameras will become a trend in 2026. Samsung is said to be moving quickly to gain a competitive edge, particularly against Chinese manufacturers.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, set to launch on January 22, will feature a 200 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 10 MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP periscope sensor with 5x optical zoom.
Of course, it’s important to note that all of this is speculative for now. Waiting for an official statement from the company would be the most prudent approach.
