Spotify will separate Play and Shuffle buttons for premium users

Spotify announced that it would launch a new feature. With this feature, there will be individual buttons for shuffle and play only for Spotify premium users. The company will completely separate its play and shuffle buttons at the top of playlists and artist pages. The feature is expected to be on Android and iOS devices in the coming weeks.

Individual buttons for Shuffle and Play for Spotify premium users

According to Spotify, users should have all the control of the music panel and songs. You can control it when you start playing the playlist. You can open the music progress tab and turn the shuffle button off. However, Spotify wants to make it easy for premium users. Additionally, Spotify is trying to have more premium members with this new feature.

Spotify announced this feature on its blog page. The company wrote, “Music—and how you listen to it—should be yours to control. So from the moment you hit play on Spotify, you decide the way you want to hear your favorite playlists or that new album you’re obsessed with. So to make that choice even clearer and simpler, we’re improving the listener experience and separating the Shuffle and Play Buttons for Spotify Premium users”.

The music streaming platform also added, “This new change will allow you to choose the mode you prefer at the top of playlists and albums and listen to it the way you want to. Whether you love the joy of the unexpected with Shuffle mode or prefer listening to tunes in order by simply pressing Play, Spotify has you covered”.

According to the post by Spotify, the update will be on iOS and Android mobile devices for Spotify Premium users worldwide over the coming weeks. With this feature, Spotify takes the differences between the premium and free offers one step further. If you don’t want to use Spotify, you can check other music streaming platforms here.
