The company’s plans include a virtual assistant that allows users to edit a photo with voice command and send it to a friend. The scope of this project is not fully clear, but it is stated that it will include features that Apple introduced as focused on App Intents.

It is known that Apple has had problems with Siri’s development for a long time. Information from internal sources indicates that engineers can now use third-party large language models (LLM) to develop Siri features. This development indicated that the vision of AI-powered Siri is gaining momentum again.

It is currently unclear whether the new features will be released simultaneously or in stages. However, it is said that Apple is trying to make these innovations ready for the big launch of iOS 19 in the fall.
