Cloudflare reported Cloudflare earnings for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, with revenue of $782.5 million, up 39% year over year, according to the company's Nov. 5, 2026 press release. CEO Matthew Prince said the quarter was Cloudflare's best ever and that annualized revenue crossed $3 billion.
What did Cloudflare earnings show for Q3 2026?
GAAP net loss was $34.1 million, or $0.10 per share, versus a $1.3 million loss a year earlier. Non-GAAP net income rose to $143.7 million, or $0.38 per diluted share, from $102.6 million, or $0.27. Non-GAAP income from operations was $137.1 million, or 17.5% of revenue, while GAAP operating loss widened to $67.9 million.
Current remaining performance obligations, a backlog measure of contracted revenue still to be recognized, grew 37% year over year. Free cash flow was $82.1 million, or 10% of revenue. Cash, cash equivalents, and available-for-sale securities totaled about $5.13 billion at quarter end.
How did NET stock react after the report?
Investing.com reported that NET shares jumped more than 14% in Friday premarket trading after the beat, and after-hours movers notes put the move near 17% following the release. TipRanks separately put the after-hours gain around 14.5% on Thursday evening.
That reaction stands out against a rough week for big tech names, similar to the AI infrastructure pressure we tracked in Nvidia chip tracking rules for Southeast Asia partners.
What guidance did Cloudflare raise for Q4 and full-year 2026?
For the fourth quarter, Cloudflare expects revenue of $845.0 million to $846.0 million and non-GAAP net income per share of $0.43 on about 379 million diluted shares. Full-year fiscal 2026 revenue guidance is $2,963.0 million to $2,964.0 million, with non-GAAP EPS of $1.35 on about 376 million shares.
Prince said growth accelerated to the company's fastest pace in nearly four years and framed Cloudflare as a development platform for an AI-powered internet. Demand for edge security and developer tools sits beside broader cloud spending debates covered in what a data center is and why towns push back.
Our Take
Cloudflare earnings matter less for the GAAP loss than for the combination of 39% growth and a raised outlook while peers face AI-capex skepticism. Investors are rewarding the beat-and-raise, not the headline net loss. Watch whether Q4 revenue lands inside the $845 million to $846 million band and whether enterprise deals keep lifting current RPO.
