Deadpool 3 has grossed $444.1 million in its opening weekend, surpassing Avatar: The Way of Water’s $439 million opening. The film earned $211 million in North America alone and rapidly increased its global box office revenue, reaching $496.3 million. Today, July 31, that figure is expected to surpass $500 million.

Avatar: The Way of Water has been a strong performer at the box office for a long time, making it one of the highest-grossing films of all time with a total of $2.32 billion. However, Deadpool 3 achieved significant success with its impressive opening. The fact that it grossed $27.6 million, especially in China, shows the film’s international success.

Deadpool 3 has received mixed reviews from critics. GameSpot gave the film a 4/10 score, stating that the third act was confusing and that it failed to make any meaningful connection to the MCU. Nevertheless, the film was a huge success at the box office, showing that the Deadpool series remains popular.
