Galaxy S26 Ultra’s processor revealed

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra, set for release in 2026, is expected to continue offering flagship performance just like its predecessors. Recent developments reveal which chipset will be powering the phone.

Galaxy S26 Ultra to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite 2

Details emerging from the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s software indicate that the device will utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. As is known, its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, featured the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will come with a redesigned Oryon CPU architecture. It will have clock speeds up to 4.6 GHz in the standard version, and up to 4.74 GHz in the Galaxy-specific version. Initial performance data suggests that this new chip will offer 25% higher performance compared to the previous generation. The chip is expected to be officially introduced in September.

New information about the Galaxy S26 Ultra reveals that the device will come with a 6.9-inch OLED display. This screen is expected to provide a more advanced viewing experience compared to previous models in terms of brightness and color accuracy.

On the camera front, it is stated that there will be a 200 MP main camera with a wider aperture, along with a 50 MP secondary lens offering 5x periscope zoom.

Memory options are expected to be available in two different versions: 12 GB and 16 GB. Furthermore, it will be powered by a 5,000 mAh capacity battery capable of charging at 60W speeds.

The model will also feature Samsung’s new software interface, One UI 8.5. With this interface, AI-based features will be further expanded.
