According to this system, Chrome users will be able to pay for the paid internet content they consume on a per-content basis without having to go through any transaction process. With this system, content creators will receive payment for the consumption of their content instantly without the need for any subscription, thereby incentivizing the creation of new content. However, it’s apparent that paying for content per item might not be as profitable for internet users as subscription or advertising systems.

However, it’s uncertain whether such a payment policy will be embraced by users in the long term. Payment policy expert Nick Szabo suggests that paying per content item would be a significant mental burden for users.
