Jensen Huang Congress concept: empty Capitol corridor and closed briefing doors, no text

Three House Republican committee chairs asked Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang for a closed-door Jensen Huang Congress briefing on Nov. 18, 2026, about his reported contacts with Megaspeed executive Alice Huang and Nvidia's defenses against foreign espionage, according to a House Foreign Affairs press release dated Nov. 5, 2026.

The Nov. 4 letter was signed by Foreign Affairs Chair Brian Mast (R-Fla.), Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party Chair John Moolenaar (R-Mich.), and House Intelligence Chair Rick Crawford (R-Ark.). They asked Huang to appear in Rayburn House Office Building room 2172, or to propose another session day by Nov. 11.

What Did the Chairs Ask Jensen Huang Congress to Cover?

Lawmakers want a joint, closed-door session on Huang's interactions with Alice Huang, whom they describe as a publicly reported People's Republic of China intelligence asset, and on NVIDIA's security protocols against foreign adversary espionage.

Megaspeed is a Singapore-based cloud company that buys Nvidia chips. The chairs wrote that recent reports raise "significant national security concerns regarding the PRC's access to sensitive U.S. technology and information."

CNBC reported on Nov. 5, 2026 that The New York Times said last week U.S. intelligence believed Alice Huang, a Chinese citizen at Megaspeed, had developed a close relationship with Jensen Huang.

How Did Nvidia Respond, and Will Huang Appear?

Nvidia did not tell CNBC whether Jensen Huang will attend. A spokesperson said regional cloud customers receive ordinary business information, not Nvidia trade secrets or national-security data, and that meetings with customers are part of a CEO's job because Jensen talks with thousands of customer executives every year.

The spokesperson also said Nvidia is confident the U.S. government would warn the company if it believed any person were a threat to American industry. Attendance remained unconfirmed in those Nov. 5 reports.

The requested Nov. 18 date falls one day after Nvidia's scheduled third-quarter earnings call on Nov. 17, 2026, which the company announced in an Oct. 28 NVIDIA Newsroom notice for the quarter ended Oct. 25.

How Does This Fit Broader Nvidia China Scrutiny?

The request follows earlier reporting in our Jensen Huang spy report roundup, which covered the intelligence allegations rather than a formal Hill briefing.

Export and tracking pressure remains a parallel theme in our note on Nvidia chip tracking plans.

Our Take

A closed-door joint briefing is not a public hearing, but three chairs putting Nov. 18 on the calendar raises political heat around Nvidia's customer relationships just as investors prepare for earnings. Watch whether Huang accepts the date by Nov. 11, proposes another session day, or keeps attendance unanswered.
