Multiple Fallout games are reportedly in development at Bethesda

The wasteland isn’t staying quiet for long. A new report suggests multiple Fallout games are currently in the pipeline at Bethesda. While none are close to release, the sheer number of projects in motion hints at a major resurgence for the post-apocalyptic franchise.

Fallout games are coming, but fans will need patience

Games journalist Jordan Middler recently revealed that several Fallout titles are in development, including one that fans have long hoped to see. Though he stopped short of confirming names, he emphasized that most of these projects are still in early production stages.

When will Fallout 5 be released?

Bethesda may revisit old favorites

Fallout 5 may be the obvious frontrunner, but fans are also hoping for more than just a new entry. Middler joked about the idea of Fallout: New Vegas 2, fueling even more speculation. A remaster of Fallout 3 is also rumored, and longtime players continue to ask for a modernized version of Fallout 2.

What fans hope to see next

From sequels to remakes, the Fallout community has plenty of ideas about what comes next. The most talked-about possibilities include:

• Fallout 5 (mainline sequel)
• Fallout: New Vegas 2
• Fallout 3 remaster
• Fallout 2 modernization
• Continued Fallout 76 support

That list spans decades of lore, and all of it could find new life.

Fallout expands beyond the controller

The franchise isn’t just growing in-game. Fallout’s live-action series is already renewed for a second season, with the next chapter set in New Vegas. Locations like The Tops Casino and Brotherhood of Steel HQ are already confirmed to appear when the show returns in December 2025.

Why now is the right time for more Fallout games

With fan demand peaking and the TV series reviving interest, Bethesda seems ready to make Fallout a major focus again. Whether it’s a fresh title or a return to a beloved classic, the wasteland has never looked more alive.
