Sources emphasize that the discussions are still in the very early stages. Therefore, it is not yet certain whether the deal will be finalized. Neither Uber nor Getir have made an official statement on the matter.

Uber is committed to expanding its operations in Turkey. The company acquired an 85% stake in Trendyol Go for $700 million in May 2025. Minister Kacır also announced that Uber would establish a Global Technology Development Center in Turkey with a $200 million investment. This new move demonstrates the company’s intention to play an active role in both the grocery and food delivery sectors.
