New feature for WhatsApp! Location can be hidden

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging platform, is working on a feature that will be very useful for users. The company has been focusing on user privacy, especially in recent times. One of these efforts has just come to light. With the new feature, WhatsApp will add “IP Address Protection.” Here are the details!

WhatsApp will offer the ability to hide your location!

WhatsApp, the messaging platform we use every day, has been working on various features to enhance and ensure user privacy. Previously, the platform introduced the ability to mute unknown numbers. This feature allowed users to silence calls from unfamiliar numbers.

Today, a new feature of the platform has emerged. With the new feature that appeared in WhatsApp version 2.23.18.15, the ability to hide the IP address will be introduced. According to the information revealed, this new feature will ensure that users’ IP addresses are securely transmitted to WhatsApp servers during calls.

WhatsApp redesigns messaging and settings screens

However, this feature won’t be necessary for messaging. This is because during message sending and receiving, all data is protected using end-to-end encryption. The WhatsApp IP Address Protection feature primarily guards against potential attempts to track users’ physical locations.

In a broader sense, users will make more secure calls. This enhanced protection will prevent anyone from precisely determining your location. In the absence of this feature, it would have been possible to track users’ online activities and determine their locations.

The IP Address Protection feature will be quite critical for safeguarding online privacy and security on the platform. Especially with the recent increase in frequent calls from unfamiliar numbers, it is believed that this feature will be more effective.
