The Galaxy S25 FE has received its first update!

The Galaxy S25 FE, the latest and latest member of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, has begun receiving its first major software update just weeks after its release. Joining the already crowded flagship lineup with the three standard models and the Galaxy S25 Edge, this device takes a significant step toward improving its stability. Here are the details.

First software update released for Galaxy S25 FE

Samsung has released the first firmware update for the Galaxy S25 FE, a model offering near-flagship specifications. The update has initially launched in Europe and is expected to gradually reach global markets.

Galaxy S25 FE users have the advantage of having one of the few devices that ships with Samsung’s latest software version, One UI 8, out of the box. This saves users the hassle of waiting for a major interface update.

The update, currently rolling out, has firmware version number S731BXXU1AYIB and brings with it the September 2025 security patch. It also includes improvements that increase overall system stability and security.

Samsung is bringing dozens of vulnerabilities addressed in this latest security maintenance release to the Galaxy S25 FE. The company has already rolled out the September 2025 security patch to many compatible devices worldwide.

This first update doesn’t introduce any new features or capabilities. Most of the major improvements are reserved for the upcoming One UI 8.5 release, which, according to leaked information, is expected to be quite comprehensive.
