Spotify launches a new design for Music and Podcasts & Shows

Spotify is working on a new design for Home. The music streaming platform is launching a new Home experience that includes a feed for both Music and Podcasts & Shows this week. The feature will firstly be available for Android users and will soon be available on iOS. Here are the details.

Spotify’s new home feeds lets you find your favorites

There will be two new buttons at the top of the app’s home screen with the new update: one for Music and one for Podcasts & Shows. When you want to separate feeds, tap one of those buttons and experience the separated tabs. The New Spotify home feature will help you easily scroll through the type of content you’re looking for now, according to the company.

Spotify explained new features on its website, “In the Music feed, listeners will have quick access to suggestions based on their music taste, making discovering new favourites easier than ever. There will also be album and playlist recommendations and buttons that make it easy to share, like, and instantly play music.”

The company also added, “In the Podcast & Shows feed, listeners will be able to head straight to new episodes of their favourite shows. They’ll also find personalised podcast recommendations. Moreover, listeners can read episode descriptions, save to Your Episodes or start playing podcasts without leaving the page, so the experience all starts from one place.”

Spotify is trying to make podcasts more important with the Spotify new home design. The company has been gathering everything about audio, from music to books to podcasts to live audio, into a single piece. The music streaming company keeps updating itself regarding endless Libraries, but the home screen hasn’t changed in recent years.
