The 25 Years of Xbox Bundle gives buyers of a qualifying new Windows 11 PC in the United States 25 Xbox games at no extra cost. Microsoft’s offer covers purchases made between November 2 and December 31, 2026, and includes Skyrim Special Edition, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Gears of War: Reloaded and Fallout 76.
The promotion celebrates the 25th anniversary of the original Xbox, which launched in November 2001. Microsoft has valued the collection at more than $500, and the bundle has now appeared as a paid listing on the Microsoft Store, priced at $569.99 according to Pure Xbox.
Which PCs Qualify for the 25 Years of Xbox Bundle
According to Microsoft’s offer terms and FAQ, eligible devices are new PCs and handhelds that ship with Windows Home, bought from a participating US retailer or manufacturer. The only Windows Pro machines that count are those built on NVIDIA RTX Spark silicon. Refurbished, open-box and demo units, commercial purchases and PCs bought on marketplaces or auction sites do not qualify.
The offer is limited to one claim per Microsoft account, and buyers must be at least 13 and located in the US. Microsoft says it may remove the games if the PC is returned, refunded or subject to a chargeback, so buying a laptop just to grab the games and send it back is not a safe plan.
The 25 Games in the Bundle
The lineup mixes recent releases with original Xbox era classics: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Minecraft Dungeons, Gears of War: Reloaded, Call of Duty: WWII, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, DOOM and DOOM II, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition, Age of Mythology: Retold, Quake, Quake II, Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Outer Worlds, Rise of Nations: Extended Edition, As Dusk Falls, Battletoads, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection, Fuzion Frenzy, Gears Tactics, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and BLiNX: The Time Sweeper.
Microsoft’s own pages differ on one detail. The FAQ counts DOOM and DOOM II as two games, while the table in the terms lists them as a single entry and adds Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition as the 25th title.
Several games, including Age of Empires II, Gears of War: Reloaded, The Elder Scrolls Online, the DOOM and Quake titles and Gears Tactics, support Xbox Play Anywhere, so the same purchase also works on an Xbox console. Call of Duty: WWII, Fallout 76, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Minecraft Dungeons are not on that list. No Game Pass subscription is needed.
How to Claim the Games
The bundle will show up on eligible PCs no later than November 30, 2026. Open the Microsoft Store app, go to Library, select Included with device, find the 25 Years of Xbox Bundle and select Claim. On handhelds that boot into the Windows 11 Xbox mode, you first need to exit to the desktop.
The games must be claimed by February 12, 2027, with the same Microsoft account used to activate the PC, and they cannot be split between accounts. Microsoft recommends claiming with an adult account, since most titles are rated Mature 17+.
What It Means for Buyers
For US shoppers already planning to buy a gaming laptop or handheld this holiday season, the bundle adds a large back catalog at no cost. Buyers in Europe and other regions are not included for now.
The giveaway follows other anniversary moves such as the transparent Xbox Series X25. It also fits Microsoft’s wider push to bring PC players into its own store and services.
